Man, I’m a little kid again. It’s been so long since I’ve seen that video that I forgot about its fantastic animation — short of Rocky & Bullwinkle reruns, you don’t see that style of spare line cartoons anymore. (One guy in Britain is close.)
The song, even though clearly located in a Cold War historical context, manages to not feel dated, either. Chalk that up to Fagen’s jazz sensibilities.
