Part 2 of our interview with Dick J. Reavis, Journalism Professor at NC State and one of the leading experts on the Waco tragedy. His book, The Ashes of Waco, was one of the first works to point out many of the problems with the raid, seige, and fire at the the Branch Davidian compound in Waco, TX, in the spring of 1993. Part 2 features the story of the seige, the fire, and many of the congressional hearings that have investigated the tragedy.
Dick J. Reavis teaches journalism at North Carolina State University. He is the author the “The Ashes of Waco”, one of the most important books about the 1993 tragedy at the Mount Carmel complex in Waco, Texas.
