What could be the reason why people will want to travel during a pandemic? Whether it’s for personal or professional reasons, people have to move and live their lives as if there’s no virus threatening every breath they take. It’s true. While you have to follow government restrictions and minimum health protocols, you also have to continue living your life as normally as possible. How can you do that with COVID-19 reminding you of how different life is right now?

There are many reasons why someone could want to travel right now. Some want to visit family in other states. Others simply want to breathe in fresh air after being cooped inside their homes for the last 10 months.

Whatever the reason is, you should know it’s okay to want to get out of the house and back to the outside world. You can rent a 5th wheel RV since this has better stability than most campers, take the whole family with you, and go on a road trip of a lifetime. You need to remember two things: take the road when you can (it’s better to drive for hours rather than get stuck in a plane breathing the same air as others) and bring these five gadgets with you on the road:

Transistor Radio

Some roads won’t even have access to a landline phone, much less the internet. What, then, can you do if you find yourself with a broken car or camper in the middle of an empty highway? That’s what the transistor radio is for. Sure, it’s not the most high-tech gadget on this list. But under the circumstances, a transistor radio is going to be your savior. By finding the right channels, you can ask for help during emergencies on the road.

Portable Chargers

Do you know that portable chargers don’t only charge phones now? Some portable chargers can power up phones, laptops, cameras, cars, vans, boats, flashlights, and many others. Forget about your phone’s backup battery. You need these all-in-one portable chargers to charge even your campers. Who knows what will happen on the road? A portable charger can save you the trouble of walking miles to ask for help or find a gas station.

Signal Amplifier

What could be more frustrating than finding yourself in the middle of the road with a broken car and no cellphone signal? Although a transistor radio can help, what’s actually better is a cellphone signal amplifier. It does what it says, which is to boost the weak signals from multiple devices. It works with all major phones and carriers, too. It is so easy to use and you can set it up either in your car, truck, or RV. The best thing about this is it can amplify weak signals enough so you can even stream TV shows and movies.

Air Purifiers

Whether it’s on the road or in your homes, an air purifier will help eliminate toxins and contaminants indoors. Make sure to run it inside your camper or your car (it comes in handy sizes, too). The purifier works to reduce the chances of you getting sick from viruses and bacteria. What more, it also gives off that fresh aroma that you’ll want in an RV. Do you know that air purifiers come in such small packs that you can now wear them around your neck? These wearable air purifiers will supposedly remove harmful particles from the air that you immediately breathe.

Fitness Trackers

It’s hard to diagnose yourself when you’re miles away from the nearest hospital or health facility. So, why not wear one of those fitness devices? New developments in technology will now update smartphone apps that are linked to wearable devices such as fitness trackers. The update will supposedly collect physiological data and self-reported symptoms to detect whether the wearer is COVID-19 positive or not.

Some updates will even alert wearers of the device if they encountered a COVID-19 positive patient. Of course, this will only work if the patients themselves will report to the app that they tested positive for the virus. Still, this is a good device to have with you when you’re on the road and need to protect yourself more than anything.

Now that the government has eased restrictions on travel, it is time to take your work on the road with you and enjoy the great outdoors. After all, if you’re still working from home today, then you can easily take your work on the road and do it while traveling. This might be your best chance of doing that. Just don’t forget to take the abovementioned devices with you.
